Hey everyone! Thank you for dropping by for another Wedding Wednesday topic. Each week we discuss wedding planning, wedding photography and more so whether you are a bride-to-be or someone who just LOVES all things “wedding”, welcome!
It’s Valentine’s week and we are spreading the vendor love!!
You might have seen our daily “Friends of Old South” series we have been running since New Year’s. We are halfway through highlighting our favorite 50 vendors in the Charlotte market. When brides book one of our photography teams, we cannot WAIT to recommend fellow vendors to them. You see, the stronger the vendor team is, the better the wedding day will flow. When the florist knows how the baker works and the caterer and DJ have a great relationship, everything runs more smoothly. And NOTHING impacts the quality of the photography like the bride’s stress level on a wedding day! A bride who is well cared for by ALL of her vendors is a happy (and therefore photogenic) bride. Planning a wedding is about making hundreds of decisions along the way and none are more important than the professional vendors you invite into your wedding day.
A bride might visit a website and think a vendor’s work looks great, but she knows very little about that person’s work history. As a team, we have captured hundreds of weddings in the Charlotte market and our experience with fellow vendors tells a more lengthy tale than just a few images on a website. We know which vendors are true professionals- the ones who show up on time, who treat our brides with respect, who strive for continued education and excellence within their craft, who run a licensed/reputable company, who deliver on their promises and who are respected among their peers. THESE are the professionals we can’t wait to tell our brides about!
Yesterday, we invited some of our favorite vendors in for a Valentine’s Day treat (which doubled as a small business support group!). We shared information to help grow and support one another’s businesses. We encouraged one another and gave tips/tricks to help with marketing, communication, etc. The rising tide raises all ships and I want ALL of these professionals to continue to thrive in our local market.
Plus…..we had a donut food truck. And who doesn’t love that?? Thank you, Sugar Donuts, for the sweet treats and Happy Valentine’s Day to our “Friends of Old South”. We are all about spreading that vendor love!
