You can take the family out of Brooklyn but you can’t take the Brooklyn out of the familyWell, we couldn’t take these NC residents all the way to their roots but we cooked up our Southern version of an urban family shoot.
Most of my fall shoots were at my favorite horse barns or open fields but the beauty of my job is tailoring the environment to reflect the spirit of THAT family. Vinny and Diane are so cool! They are the hardest working team around and manage nearly 50 DJs at their company, Split Second Sound. They are ALWAYS my #1 recommendation to any bride and groom searching for a DJ. What many couples don’t realize is that your DJ sets the tone for 4-5 hours of your wedding day. It is p.a.i.n.f.u.l.l.y. obvious when a “friend of the family” becomes emcee/music master instead of a seasoned professional. Whenever I see Vinny or anyone on his team behind the microphone at a reception, I know a good party is about to go down.
Diane told me it had been several years since they had a family portrait. Keep in mind, NO teenage boy enjoys picture day so it took a lot of sweet talk to get these kiddos to endure a photo shoot. We opted for an edgier, urban look for their shoot and I love the way they turned out. So take a peek below! Oh, and the next time you are rooting on the Panthers at Bank of America stadium, look up and you just might see Vinny himself cranking out the tunes that keep the fans on their feet. These New Yorkers certainly have a “go big or go home” attitude and know how to keep the party going. I am thrilled to call them colleagues and friends
