Capturing weddings are always very special and very personal but when it is involves a family member, everything seems just a bit sweeter.
I have known Erin her entire life. That little Christmas baby I first met at our grandmother’s house in Laurel, MS is all grown up now. I first met Taylor 2 years ago at my aunt’s beach house in FL on an annual family beach trip. I had been hearing about this very special guy that Erin was head over heels for. I knew from the second I met him that these two were playing for keeps. Taylor makes Erin happy in a way I had never seen before. True love has a way of lighting you up from the inside out.
Taylor and Erin first met a few years ago in Atlanta at a November Friendsgiving party. Erin almost skipped out on her invitation since she didn’t know many people going to the party. But, as soon as she walked in the door, Taylor couldn’t take his eyes off her. The story goes that he walked right over to her and they talked for hours and hours that first night. Since then, they have shared adventures in traveling, many more beach trips and of course, LOTS of Alabama football games.
June 10, 2017 was so special. One of the dearest moments was capturing that special silver ring you see in the middle of the invitation suite image. It belonged to our grandmother, Hazel Fairchild. This “something old” meant so much to me too. She was truly the cornerstone of our family and we all miss her very much. Having her ring among the details of the day made her feel a bit closer to all of us.
Erin is so loved by her parents. The tears were plentiful this day from my aunt and uncle and what a joy it was to capture it all. Enjoy Part 1 of their beautiful Atlanta wedding.
