Shaina and JT have the sweetest love story. They were both raised in Lincolnton, NC but only briefly dated in middle school (the running joke is that she waited to break up with him right after Christmas because she wanted a present- ha!) Both moved on with other relationships in life but reconnected via Facebook a couple of years ago. That long lost flame was definitely still there and they knew early on that marriage would be in their future.
Shaina is an only child and capturing weddings for these families is truly unique. All parents love their children but the love between parents and their only child is all-consuming. Shaina is everything to Shelly and David. Their eyes welled up with tears over and over again this day and capturing that bond was certainly one of the highlights of this wedding day.
JT is a man’s man. He literally had someone call me out of capturing Shaina’s family portraits and into the guy’s suite for a very important image…..of him and his groomsmen in their dress shirts and boxers. I cracked up! He is such a practical joker and knows exactly how to get Shaina laughing too.
This 5.30.15 wedding at Separk Mansion was perfection. Beautiful weather, exquisite decor and every detail executed to perfection under the direction of Kat with Best Day Ever. Their colors of navy and bright green were carried throughout the florals, gorgeous cake, table decor and even favors for guests. Those candied apples were adorable!
As always, thank you, Shaina and JT for trusting your families and most precious memories to our cameras. We loved capturing every sweet moment. We wish you both a lifetime of love, laughter, happy playtime with your fur baby, Bentley, and lots of good hunting days for JT:)
