God truly smiled down on these two on 4.12.14. The sun was shining, a soft spring breeze was blowing and the sky was filled with beautiful clouds. Sarah and Chris have been engaged for a little longer than most couples and I was thrilled that their long-awaited wedding day was absolutley beautiful! She has the sweetest relationship with her parents and I loved seeing them tear up whenever they glanced her way. She has been a source of joy in their lives for many years and they were beaming with pride on this day. She has truly found her soulmate in Chris and I know their future together will be just as fantastic as their wedding day.
I was so touched by the sentimental family heirlooms Sarah pulled aside on her wedding day. The strand of pearls she wore down the aisle belong to her grandmother. Her grandfather was stationed in Japan nearly 60 years ago and sent them to his new bride. Sarah even had the shipping label he used and a small black-and-white photo of her late grandfather. How precious is that? Also, the super talented floral team at Lily Greenthumbs skillfully tucked a treasured family bible into her bouquet. She carried it down the aisle just as her mother and grandmother did many years before. This wedding had “Old South” written all over it!
Enjoy a peek at their perfect spring day!
