The vast majority of our Old South couples are referred to us from previous Old South couples. In the world of business, there is NO recommendation that is more valuable than word-of-mouth, friend-to-friend referrals. Capturing Emily and Patrick’s New Year’s Eve 2017 wedding led us to Whitney and BJ’s St. Patty’s Day 2018 wedding. Heck, Mr. and Mrs. Hogan were even guests at the new Mr. and Mrs. Kelly’s wedding so it was one big, shamrock-inspired love fest!
Whitney is a designer and has such a keen eye for detail and color. As you can see, from the florals to the invitation suite, everything was so seamlessly beautiful. BJ’s grand touch to the design plan was that one gigantic GREEN leprechaun hatAnd that pretty much sums up their relationship! Together, they are a phenomenal, powerful and FUN couple!
Part 1 of their wedding day includes all the festivities and formal photos up to and including the ceremony. (I will save the dance floor antics for tomorrow’s Part 2 post!) I can assure you that her first look with her sweet Dad had ALL of us in tears. There is something so very tender about a grown man being brought to tears by the beauty of his best girl dressed all in white. What a moment.
My personal favorites are the images of the couple alone in front of the beautiful Myers Park Methodist Church. There is so much love and anticipation passing between them in the moments leading up to the ceremony. As I was capturing these particular images, I knew they would be the ones Whitney and BJ put in silver frames in their home for future generations to see.
Writing their story has been a pleasure. Enjoy the images below and visit again tomorrow for about as much fun as any one St. Patty’s Day can hold!
