I knew Jamie was an Old South bride from that first e-mail. She was referred to us from a 2014 OSS bride, Amanda, which already told me a lot about her. Any friend of Amanda’s is likely to be just as vivacious, fun-loving, confident, driven and upbeat as she is. Jamie is definitely my kind of girl. As a Pure Barre instructor, she inspires and motivates hundreds of other women and we love that. She had OSS written aaaallllllll over her!
Jake told me the story of how they met and I can’t help but think his own Mom would be proud hearing him tell it. It all started with golf. When he was age 11/12, his Mom worked during the summer and needed a place to keep Jake occupied during the day. So, she joined a local club/golf course and Jake was able to play as many rounds of golf each day as his little legs would carry him. This instilled a love for golf in him that carried into adulthood too.
Fast forward a few years, Jake joined a men’s group at his golf course that included Jamie’s Dad. Jake and Jamie were actually set up by her parents and the rest is history. I love how small choices- even those dating back to childhood- set us on a certain course to meet our future spouse. Who knew middle school, golf-loving Jake would one day marry a fellow golfer’s pretty daughter?
Dana did a BEAUTIFUL job capturing their engagement session at Lake Norman. THAT HAT!!! Jamie killed that look!! Their chemistry is so natural and joyful. We are so thrilled to capture their wedding later this year. For now, enjoy some of our favorites from their nautical e-session. Well done, Dana!
