When any bride reaches out us about capturing her wedding, I highly encourage a face-to-face meeting in the studio. I happened to know Rachel already (she works at the amazing Queen City Catering Company), but I wanted to see the relationship she and John shared. As soon as we started talking about their life together, I KNEW Autumn would be the perfect Old South photographer for their day. Choosing a photographer is about more than equipment or experience. It’s about selecting someone who sees life the way you do. It’s choosing a storyteller to witness and capture the best day of your life in the way you want to remember it. That takes a kindred spirit and Autumn, as their lead photographer, was just that for Rachel and John.
I am obsessed with their rich, vibrant color palette. That sparkly gold against navy and bold reds set the tone for a beautiful wedding and reception. Autumn and Aleta captured every special detail so incredibly well.
But beyond the “pretty things” of a wedding….there is love. Love between proud parents seeing their baby girl and boy beginning a new, bigger chapter in life. Love between “ride or die” friends (who always make the dance floor fun!). Love between a couple who knew…way back in high school….they had found their soul mate in one another. Rachel and John felt every bit of that love on 10.15.16 and we were the lucky ones who got to capture it.
Enjoy a walk through their beautiful day. We wish the new Mr. and Mrs. Humphries all the same love and joy they felt on this day in the decades to come. We have LOVED getting to know you and can’t wait to see what adventure awaits ahead!
