I knew Julie and I would become fast friends from the first time she ever called me. You can tell that she actually smiles when she talks…even through the phone! Not only do I LOVE upbeat people but with a name like Julie….we couldn’t go wrong together. Turns out, I met her many years ago on another photo shoot and we recently joined the same gym. I love when clients become friends too.
When we sat down in the studio to discuss the wardrobe concept for their fall horse farm session, she told me her design taste was more casual with a mix of rustic wood and pops of strong color. Most of their home is very neutral but there are strong elements of orange and green in the rooms we were going to enhance with our photography, so we designed a wardrobe plan using brown, khaki, white, navy and hints of orange.
We designed a custom canvas collection to fill a space in their gorgeous dining room that everyone sees as soon as they enter the home. We used our design software to size and scale each canvas and I’m so pleased with the final look. A favorite image of the kids was framed in a bronze Audrey frame and hung over a console table next to her signature “rooster chair”.
We firmly believe that images of your loved ones should be displayed on REAL walls and not just Facebook walls. These happy images tell the story of the upbeat, fun family who lives and loves under this pretty roof.
I thought you might enjoy another peek into the Old South Studio’s “Look Book” and a quick tour of the Jenkins’ happy home.
