People often ask me how things work with a multi-photographer studio. I (Julie) am the owner of the company but I still capture 12-15 weddings/year. We also have lead photographers- Dana, Alisha, Autumn and Lindsey- who capture weddings for Old South Studios as well.
I am the one who corresponds with all brides, handles the financials as well as marketing/social media/blogging. Our photographers love being behind the camera but the business side of things is left up to me (and Alyssa in the studio). I sit down with each couple and try to get to know them before we determine which photographer will be the best lead wedding photographer for that specific couple.
As soon as I met Laura and Derek back in May, I knew Dana was the Old South photographer for them. These two met in their Physician’s Assistant program at Wake Forest University. They are driven, organized and focused (which also describes Dana) so the decision to book Dana’s team for their 2018 wedding was a no-brainer.
The couple met up with Dana early this fall along the beautiful Blue Ridge Parkway and stopped at a few of Dana’s favorite overlooks. You can tell from the images below what a fabulous session they had.
The funny part was, on the way home, Dana called me to say “Laura and Derek were so awesome! They are totally my kind of clients!” and about 15 minutes later, Laura (bride) texted me about how amazing Dana was and how happy they were that she will be the one capturing their big day in September 2018.
