It was February of this year when I got that first phone call from the bride’s Mom, Susan. She told me Old South had been referred to her and her daughter by Ballantyne Country Club and I answered her call at a very loud volleyball tournament. I popped outside to hear her more clearly and I was immediately struck by how kind she was. I remember her saying “you are my daughter’s number one choice and we just have to meet you in person as soon as possible”. 2 days later, we were sitting across the table from one another in our Ballantyne studio and I knew this family was meant for Old South. They believe in everything we stand for- family, commitment, tradition, legacy and love.
Jameson is a producer for ESPN and Alison is a long-term nanny for families in Charlotte. She shared with me her deep love for all the children she has helped raise in the past years and how much it would mean to have them all participate in the wedding. I knew Dana and Allison were the perfect photography team for her. They each have small children and have a unique way of connecting with little ones and drawing out their personalities in front of the camera (scroll down to the shot of ALL the little ones hiding their eyes at the exact moment. That is NO small task and Dana and Allison deserve a photography gold medal for pulling that one off!).
October 21 was a dream come true for this couple. Showered in love, laughter, family and friends plus a gorgeous Carolina blue sky, they could not have asked for a more perfect wedding day. (Full vendor list at bottom of post). Enjoy a walk through their rich, garden inspired wedding day. Jameson and Alison have that old-fashioned kind of love they write novels about. The emotion they share in just that first look alone will set your own heart aflutter!! For richer or poorer, sickness and in health…my money is on this couple. Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Curtis. We have loved every step of this journey with you and your sweet families. (P.S. when that same, kind mother-of-the-bride sends the entire staff flowers the Monday after the wedding day, you KNOW we were a good match. Goodness we love this job!)
