Bridal Portrait sessions….oh how they have changed since your Mom’s era. Gone are the days of in-studio sessions. Modern bridal sessions are much more creative.
I think many “new” Old South brides think of these sessions as stuffy and traditional, but we strongly disagree. This session is the one and only dress rehearsal you will before the big day. Trying on your gown in a dressing room for a few minutes is not the same as WEARING it for 2 solid hours. Can you sit? Can you handle stairs well? Can your Mom/friend master that bustle (that came with a diagram!!)? Do you need a crochet hook for all those tedious buttons? Is the fit the way you like? Is the length of the gown perfect for the dreamy heels you selected? Is the makeup too heavy or too light? Do you really want to wear your hair up v. down?
Bridal portrait sessions are the only way you can truly answer all of those questions before the wedding day. Over half of our brides are now opting for these unique sessions 4-6 weeks prior to wedding day. 100% of them say they loved every second of it. And 100% of their photographers AGREE!
Alissa’s bridal portraits were actually captured in February but we have to keep them under wraps until she is married. So, without further ado, enjoy a peek at Mrs. Farrow’s (as of 3.25.17!) session with Dana. Oh that golden light on this gorgeous girl is just perfection.
Watch for their wedding blog coming next week!
